Notes and messages — today's words and Dr Tro's, side by side¶

Everything the practice reads from the fax app — the Spruce messages, the Elation report titles, the Elation chart notes — in today's words and in Dr Tro's (his templates of 2026-11-04). Read this page with Dr Tro before the switches go on. With every switch off the app says exactly what it said before; nothing here changes by itself.

The message table below is generated from the code (scripts/render_notes_and_messages.py, with invented numbers and links at an invalid host): a sentence on this page is a sentence the app sends, and a test refuses a page that drifts from the code. Every note is internal to the practice: the patient never sees one.

A procedure report's message is titled PROCEDURE REPORT (from AI-Fax) with the same lines as the imaging one. A part of a fax not filed while the rest filed is titled PART OF A FAX NOT FILED (from AI-Fax) (the table's sample is a whole fax). Not in the table: the front desk's patient message draft (imaging_draft) keeps its header and the model's words, under the title PATIENT MESSAGE DRAFT (from AI-Fax) with Dr Tro's style; it goes to the front desk when named, else the care coordinator, and carries no REPORT ERROR line (its words are for a patient). An imaging message prints RECOMMENDATIONS and ADDENDUM when the report prints them. Under Dr Tro's style the report details message (report_details) is not planned at all: the explorer has the details. A lab note whose patient is not in Spruce is cancelled today; under Dr Tro's style it goes to the fax desk with the mismatch line (the fax owner is the fallback for every row).

Who is paged — Dr Tro's rows¶

The Communication page's Who is paged table (Setup) has one row per situation and one tick per role. A role nobody fills is skipped; a row whose every role is unfilled pages the fax owner; an empty row pages nobody and the notice waits for a person. The doctor is paged for a major finding only, and only where ticked. Today's rows are the defaults and deploy unchanged; Dr Tro's rows are ticked by hand on deploy day:

Under his rows the doctor is no longer paged for a major finding; the severity and its reasons are on the fax explorer's Decisions tab. The prior-authorization handler is named on the People tab (a person or a team) and is paged nowhere else.

Every title keeps room for the suffix under Elation's 255 characters; the [UNMATCHED] mark stays first; a person's report-type override in the harness renames either style.

A hold reads NEEDS TO BE FILED: 99 of 100 lab result(s) (99%) could not be filed; REVIEW AND FINAL MANUALLY. On the triage chart the third line is AI-Fax could not match this patient; on a chart the app made, AI-Fax created a new chart from this fax: verify the name and date of birth. The panels as printed and the results older than the trend window keep their lines. The practice's ignored names are no longer listed in the note (the explorer keeps them). The trending one-of (Lab trending enabled — …, File-only — …, Filed without trending by the practice's setting: …, Filed to the chart as <type> by the practice's setting …) is word for word as before: the app recognises its own printouts by those lines, and by the new first line.

Unchanged in shape: the lab note above, in whichever style is on, then the record's parts in care order (ADMISSION, DIAGNOSES, PROCEDURES, DIAGNOSTIC IMPRESSIONS, DISCHARGE MEDICATIONS, FOLLOW-UP, PENDING, HOSPITAL COURSE), each capped.

Deploy day, in order¶

The image (one image carries the long-fax fixes, the split rules, the explorer's Decisions tab, the templates).
Communication page → People: name the prior-authorization handler; Setup → Who is paged: tick Dr Tro's rows above; Save. (The settings file moves to schema 8 by itself with today's rows.)
Read this page with Dr Tro. Then Settings → Dr Tro's notes and messages On. Check the first imaging note in Spruce, the first LAB RESULTS: mm/dd/yyyy title and its note in Elation, and that a printout of such a note sent back through the inbox is still recognised as the app's own.
Settings → Backup copy of a split fax On after one sandbox run of a two-report fax: the Misc copy LARGE RECORD on the chart, the parts - SPLIT RECORD.
Rollback is the switches off and the rows back; the schema stays at 8 (its defaults are today's rows).
